John’s story, Dancing on Clouds, has been awarded third place in the New Eastbourne Writers’ First National Short Story Competition.
Judges Joan Moules and Peter Lovesey were delighted by the high quality of the writing. They were of the opinion that many of the unsuccessful entries were worthy of publication.
This brings the year to a pleasant conclusion for John. In recent weeks he has been shortlisted in the short story competitions run in conjunction with the Ilkley Literary Festival and the Aber Valley Festival.
